Allu Sirish, Niharika Konidela launched ‘Mella Mellaga’, a melodious romantic soundtrack, from Allu Sirish’s ‘ABCD’ at a grand event in Hyderabad on February 20. The event, which was held at Hylife, saw the entire team of the film including Allu Sirish, Rukshar Dhillon, Sanjeev Reddy, Judah Sandhy, Sid Sriram, Madhura Sreedhar, Raam, Bharath, Bekkam Venugopal, and Aditi Bhavaraju come together to talk about the film and the song. The highlight of the event was a live performance by Sid Sriram and Aditi Bhavaraju, who sang the song much to everyone’s delight.
Talking at the event, Allu Sirish said, “Last year, when I was in Bangalore, I happened to hear a song on the local FM. The sound was fresh and new to me that I, initially, thought it was an English song, but it was in fact a Kannada song. I was so impressed with it that I wanted to find out more about the music director. That’s how I came across Judah Sandhy’s works. I think it was a divine blessing. Ever since we started working on ABCD, I’ve been wanting to introduce a new music director, and when I heard the Judah’s song, I knew that was the kind of music that I wanted to bring to the Telugu audience. I hope he has a long career ahead in Telugu film industry.” Sirish also praised Sid Sriram and said that he’s one of his favourite singers. “Among the top 20 songs that I hear on a loop, at least 8-10 of them have been sung by Sid Sriram. I’m in love with his voice, and I’m confident that people will fall in love with Mella Mellaga too. I really want to speak more about the film and the technicians who have worked hard on the film, but I’ll save it for the pre-release event,” Sirish added.
Judah Sandhy, music director, thanked Allu Sirish for introducing him to Telugu film industry, and said, “It was a pleasure working on this film. Thank you Sid Sriram and Aditi for singing this song. I am eagerly looking forward to the response for the whole album and the film too.” Sid Sriram and Aditi Bhavaraju, who impressed everyone with their performance, wished the team a big success.
Niharika Konidela, who was one of the guests at the event, stated that she’s an ardent admirer of Sid Sriram. “The song is wonderful and it’s going to be a chartbuster. I’m a huge fan of Sid Sriram’s voice and he’s a big asset to any film that he’s part of. He also sang a song in one of my films. I wish the entire team a big success and hope the film does really well,” Niharika said.
Madhura Sreedhar, one of the producers of Allu Sirish’s ABCD, was all praise for the actor and said, “I really enjoyed working on this project with Allu Sirish. We have worked hard to make a good film, and I hope the audience will like it too. Judah Sandhy is going to make it big in Telugu film industry, and I thank Sid Sriram and Aditi for bringing such a beautiful song to life. We are introducing a new director Sanjeev Reddy with this film and I’m sure he will make a good name for himself.”
Sanjeev Reddy, who’s making his debut as a director with this film, recalled an incident from the shoot of Mella Mellaga and stated that Allu Sirish is not just a reel hero, but also a real life hero. “Allu Sirish and Rukshar were on a bike, and all of a sudden, few drunkards passed some comments and walked away. After the shot was done, when I came back to meet Sirish, I saw him making the drunkard apologise to Rukshar. I was really touched by his gesture. He is not only a reel hero but also a real life hero,” Sanjeev said.
